Our TWELFTH+1 great year of the Wiltshire Rugby Skills Week, yet again, in conjunction with the Wiltshire Gazette & Herald
and held at the Chippenham Rugby Club, Allington Field ground.

SkillsWeek’2008 will take place during the week, July 28th - August 1st, providing children in the Dorset, Wiltshire Gloucestershire and Somerset areas with intensive coaching in the skills required for the game. A perfect way to prepare your children for the approaching season. Children aged 8 to 15, can enjoy the valuable lessons given by an experienced coaching team. Our team uses coaches qualified and recognised within the Home Unions Youth Development organisation.

The feedback from over ONE THOUSAND children over twelve years, who have attended the SkillsWeek events, has allowed us to put the same team together for this year’s SkillsWeek’2008. Our high-quality coaching team continues to deliver stars of the future. The Healthy Diet provided by our experienced catering team, will enhance the training experience of the children.

Over the five days of SkillsWeek’2008, a structured timetable will be created to cater for the wide range of children attending the event. Our coaches take great pride in positioning each child within a programme appropriate to both their age and ability. The coaching sessions will cover all aspects of the game. Through the week, the sessions educate the children in preparation for the game, the value of warming up and stretching, the assistance provided by good diet, the need for a game plan, essential skills and drills and work on the importance of team drills and team play. Our sessions include speed, agility and quickness sessions. The children will also learn how to improve their personal fitness and understand the value of commitment.

We offer the option to be included in the Spring Mailshot for SkillsWeek’2009. In addition to the coaching and celebrity visits, the SkillsWeek’2008 fee, with continued thanks to our generous sponsors will be £90. This competitive fee will again include, a rugby ball for each child, various Skillsweek branded items and our specially prepared, healthy option meals (Really, NO CHIPS!).
